Hungary has approved Sweden’s bid to join NATO.
According to a Reuters report onMarch 5, Hungarian President János Áder signed legislation approving Sweden’s accession to the alliance.
Sweden and Finland applied to join NATO in May last year in response to Russia’s military action in Ukraine. However, their bids were opposed by Turkey and Hungary.
