This year, the Western Land-Sea New Channel has seen a record breaking number of container shipments via railway-maritime integration freight trains, reaching over 110,000 TEUs. According to reports from Qinzhou on February 21st (Wei Jiaxiu), the X9586 freight train, carrying cargo such as cassava starch from Thailand, coconut milk and rapeseed oil from Hainan, departed from Qinzhou Port East Station bound for Chengxiang Station in Sichuan Province. Up to February 20th this year, the total shipment volume of the Western Land-Sea New Channel railway-maritime integration freight trains reached 113,500 TEUs, showing a significant year-on-year increase.
