The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has launched an energy efficiency supervision campaign targeting large and extra-large data centers. This supervision is part of the industrial energy conservation supervision work for 2024, aiming to improve the energy efficiency of data centers.
According to a report by the China News Service, the campaign for energy efficiency supervision is organized and implemented by the MIIT. The supervision of these data centers’ energy efficiency will help China achieve more efficient energy use and reduce carbon emissions, in line with China’s goal of green and low-carbon development.
The MIIT said that through this supervision, it will promote the upgrading and transformation of data centers, improve energy utilization efficiency, reduce operating costs, and ensure the stable operation of data centers.
