Recently, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the “2023 Artificial Intelligence Ethics Governance Research Report” at the Ethics Governance Sub-forum of the “2024 China ICT Deep Observation Report Conference”. The report summarizes the relevant concepts and characteristics of artificial intelligence ethics governance, and analyzes the ethical risks of three typical application scenarios: artificial intelligence-generated content, autonomous driving, and smart healthcare.

The report proposes four outlooks for artificial intelligence ethics governance. Firstly, it emphasizes the need to establish a sound legal and regulatory framework to ensure the development of technology without neglecting ethical constraints. Secondly, it highlights the importance of enterprises assuming social responsibilities and strengthening internal ethical norms and supervision to ensure compliant application of artificial intelligence technology. In addition, the report also calls for enhancing public awareness and participation in artificial intelligence ethics to foster a good social governance situation.
