Kenya’s capital Nairobi witnessed a deadly explosion at a gasoline station on Sunday night, killing at least 2 people and injuring 167 others. Eyewitnesses said the blast triggered a fierce fire, sending residents in the vicinity fleeing. Rescue personnel rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and assist the wounded. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

事发当晚,肯尼亚总统乌胡鲁·肯雅塔对遇难者表示哀悼,并向伤者表示慰问。总统发言人表示,政府将全力配合调查部门查明事故原因,并采取措施确保类似事件不再发生。

President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his condolences for the victims and sympathy for the injured following the incident. A spokesman for the president said the government would fully cooperate with the investigation department to identify the cause of the accident and take measures to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
