BYD’s Di Space Expands: Second Immersive Science CenterOpens in Tianjin

BYD’s commitment to public education and engagement takesanother step forward with the opening of its second Di Space in Tianjin, China. This immersive science center, designed to showcase the company’s automotive culture, design, technology, and experience, is set to officially open to the public in December.

The news was announced by He Zhiqi, BYD’s Executive Vice President,who confirmed that the Tianjin Di Space is currently in its trial phase. The facility is undergoing final touches on its exhibits and displays before welcoming visitors.

The concept of Di Space is a unique initiative by BYD to create a space where peopleof all ages can learn about the world of automobiles in a fun and engaging way. The first Di Space opened in Zhengzhou on September 15th, 2023, and has already proven to be a popular destination forlocals.

The Zhengzhou Di Space, spanning a massive 15,000 square meters, is a multi-level complex. It houses a 7,000 square meter science museum, a 4,000 square meter showroom, and another 4,000 square metersdedicated to various functions. The facility also boasts a 8,500 square meter plaza featuring a 260 square meter bare-eye 3D screen.

The success of the Zhengzhou Di Space, coupled with the upcoming opening of the Tianjin Di Space, highlights BYD’s dedication topromoting scientific literacy and fostering a deeper understanding of the automotive industry. The company has also signed an agreement to establish a third Di Space in Changsha, Hunan province, further solidifying its commitment to this unique educational initiative.
