Johnson’s Bombshell: UK Prime Minister Considered Military Raid on Netherlands for Vaccines

London, UK – In his upcoming memoir, Unleashed, formerBritish Prime Minister Boris Johnson reveals a startling revelation: in March 2021, he seriously considered a military raid on the Netherlands to seize a desperately neededsupply of COVID-19 vaccines.

According to excerpts published by British media, the raid on the Netherlands was not a casual joke amongst high-ranking officials, but a concrete military plan discussed at length between Johnson and top military leaders.

A Vaccine Grab

The incident arose amidst a heated dispute between the EU and the UK over the AstraZeneca vaccine. Johnson writes that AstraZeneca wasattempting to import millions of doses stored in Leiden, Netherlands, to the UK, but these efforts were met with resistance from the EU.

Johnson accuses the EU of harboring malice and resentment towards the UK due to itsfaster vaccine rollout compared to the bloc. He writes, They [the EU] wanted to stop us getting five million doses, but they themselves weren’t showing any real sign of wanting to use the AstraZeneca vaccine. Suddenly, the European Commission launched a legal war on AstraZeneca, claiming the company had failed to fulfill its contractwith the EU.

In this context, Johnson commissioned some work to assess the feasibility of a military operation to seize the vaccines in Leiden. He justifies this action by claiming, Those vaccines were rightfully ours, and we desperately needed them.

After several days of planning, the military presented their findings to Johnsonin late March.

According to reports, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, General Doug Chalmers, who oversees military strategy and operations, informed Johnson that the operation was doable.

The military proposed a two-pronged approach: a team would arrive in the Netherlands via commercial flight, while another team wouldutilize inflatable boats under the cover of darkness to cross the channel and navigate the canals. The two teams would then converge at the target location, use military force to seize the vaccines, and load them onto a truck for transport back to the UK.

The military leaders then pointedly reminded Johnson that given the Netherlandsand Belgium were under lockdown at the time, a military operation would be impossible to conceal. This would necessitate explaining to the Dutch authorities why the UK was launching a military attack on a long-standing NATO ally.

Ultimately, Johnson opted not to authorize the raid, deeming it crazy. The vaccines in question werenever shipped to the UK. Johnson concludes, We had to make do.

Near-Death Experience

In his memoir, Johnson also reveals that he believes he would have succumbed to COVID-19 in April 2020 had it not been for the skill and experience of medical professionals. Johnson was hospitalized in critical condition after contracting the virus.

Johnson details that after being admitted to the ICU, he…
