AOV Surges: Hongmeng Zhixing’s Zhijie R7Sedan SUV Breaks 2,000 Orders in a Single Day
Beijing,China – September 28, 2023 – Hongmeng Zhixing, the automotive arm of Huawei, has announced a significant milestone for itsfirst sedan SUV, the Zhijie R7. The company reported that the vehicle achieved over 2,000 new orders today, bringing the total number ofpre-orders since September 24th to a remarkable 11,000.
This surge in demand follows a recent adjustment to the Zhijie R7’s optional configuration. Previously, the 12,000 yuan (approximately $1,650 USD) optional configuration fee could only be used to offset the cost of interior and exterior upgrades, wheels, and technology packages. However, the company has now expanded the scope of the optionalconfiguration fee to include the option of upgrading to a 100 kWh battery.
Previously, upgrading from the standard 82 kWh battery to the 100 kWh battery in the Zhijie R7 Max required an additional 20,000 yuan (approximately $2,750 USD). The new option allows customers to upgrade to the 100 kWh battery for an additional 8,000 yuan (approximately $1,100 USD) on top of the base price of 299,800 yuan (approximately $41,000 USD).
The Zhijie R7 is available in three trims:
- Zhijie R7 Pro: Priced at 259,800 yuan (approximately $35,700 USD), this trim offers a maximum range of 667 km, the full-fledged Tuling platform, andthe basic version of HUAWEI ADS.
- Zhijie R7 Max: Priced at 299,800 yuan (approximately $41,000 USD) for the 82 kWh battery version and 319,800 yuan (approximately $44,000 USD) for the 100 kWh battery version. This trim offers a maximum range of 802 km, the full-fledged Tuling platform, and the advanced HUAWEI ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system.
- Zhijie R7 Ultra: Priced at 339,800 yuan (approximately $46,700 USD) and above, this trim offers a maximum range of 736 km, dual-motor four-wheel drive, and the advanced HUAWEI ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system.
The Zhijie R7 boasts an impressive size,measuring 4956 mm in length, 1981 mm in width, and 1634 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. It utilizes an 800V architecture and boasts a maximum range of 802 km. Thevehicle is equipped with Huawei’s 乾崑 ADS 3.0 end-to-end human-like intelligent driving system and the Tuling chassis.
The Zhijie R7 features a distinctive yacht-style cockpit with a 12.3-inch navigation screen and the advancedHUAWEI ADS 3.0 intelligent driving assistance system. The front seats are equipped with Huawei’s MagLink magnetic car interface, allowing for seamless integration with tablets and other devices. The vehicle also features an industry-first electric front trunk.
